• Note: As the width and height of the part get larger,
the length of the part will need to be shorter in
order to make the turns in our system.
Direct Powder to Metal System:
• Six stage cleaning system for aluminum
and steel parts
• Parts run through a dry off oven
• Customer specified powder is applied
• Parts go through cure oven to bond the
powder to the part
Bonderite Aquence Autophoretic 930 System (Prime):
• 11 stage cleaning system fo steel parts only
• Stage 4 has a "pickle cleaner" for cleaning laser scale
• Stage 9 has the Aquence 930 (primer) for under coating
• Parts run through a dry off oven
• Customer specified powder is applied
• Parts go through cure oven to bond the powder to the part

POWDER COAT PAINTING (Aquence Autodeposition Technology)
HOL OEM is one of only a few companies which provide Aquence (by Henkel) autodeposition coating technology. Also known as Autophoretic coating, Aquence is a water-based, chemcical coating used in a process where an organic polymeric emulsion chemically deposits on the surface of a clean metal substrate. It is known as the "Simple Solution" because it reduces the number and complexity of stages involved in painting parts. A unique feature of the autodeposition process is the formation of a uniform film over the entire surface of the work piece, even in difficult-to-reach areas. This allows the coating dispersion to flow into and around the most complex shapes. Unlike coating processes that require a charge to deposit the coating (i.e., where electircal energy is required to "throw" the coating into recessed areas) autodeposition will coat tubular, assembled, or intricate design areas uniformly.

WHY POWDER COAT PAINTING?
Powder cating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder
coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is applied
electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is
ususally used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. There are several advantages of powder coating over conventional coatings: • Powder caotings emit zero or near zero volatile organic compounds (VOC)

• Powder coatings can produce much thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings without running or sagging.
• Powder coating overspray can be recycled and thus it is possible to achieve nearly 100% use of the coating.
• Powder coating production lines produce less hazardous waste than conventional liquid coatings.
• Capital equipment and operating costs for a powder line are generally less than for conventional liquid lines.
• Powder coated items generally have fewer appearance differences between horizontally and vertically coated surfaces than liquid coated items.
• A wide range of specialty effects are easily accomplished; which would be impossible to achieve with other coating processes.
